DeColores! Your prayers are needed
for the complete recovery of Fr.
Mike Farrell, Pastor of Divine Mercy Church. He was in a pedestrian/car
accident recently and is in Holmes Regional Hospital in Intensive Care.
He has suffered a broken pelvis and a broken arm. Please join the
congregation of Divine Mercy as we pray for his recovery. The Diocese
has been helpful to provide priests for weekend masses, daily masses,
funerals, weddings, etc.. We have no associate priest, so we have been
graciously helped by neighboring parishes. Your prayers during this
difficult time would be appreciated. God Bless.

DeColores!
I just wanted to give you all
an update on my brother-in-law. All of your prayers were definately
heard! Mike came out of his surgery with
flying colors. What was suppose to be a 4 hour surgery ended up only
being an hour and a half. AND, they only had to do a triple bipass
instead of a quadruple. Evidently a part of his heart that they thought
was damaged was only stunned. The doctors said that he will be better
than new!
My
sister asked me to thank everyone for their prayers. She truly
appreciates each and every one of you for lifting them up in prayer.
She said she feels like she is a true witness to God's miracles, and
she felt everyone's prayers as she had so many moments of clarity! This
has been an amazing close moment for our entire family!
I too would like to thank all of
you for praying and passing the news on for others to pray. I knew that
Christ's healing hands were upon us and Mike would survive this ordeal.
He had so many wonderful people praying for him! Thank you all again! I
am humbled by the love and support that this amazing community gives.
You all are truly God's disciples!
The power of prayer is an amazing
thing, and so are all of you! Thank you again!
Peace to all,
Glynnis Fadok

My
dear brothers and sisters,
Could
you all please keep my brother-in-law, Mike Barnes, in your prayers. He
suffered a heart attack Monday morning and will be going
through quad-bipass surgery at 8:00AM this morning. He has 95%
blockage on one side of his heart and 75% on the other. He is in NHC
Downtown Naples as he was airlifted there from Key West.
Mike
is a wonderful Christian man who does not drink or smoke. His biggest
vice is ice cream! He is very fit as he is a retired firefighter and is
now a fisherman who sells lobster and stone crab to local markets and
restaraunts down in the Keys.
My
sister feels very confident that God is with them, and the Holy Spirit
is keeping her together. She told me that Mike was suppose to be out on
his boat pulling traps but a problem with his lift kept him home
waiting for a part to come in. She happened to be home that morning
too. He refused to let her call an ambulance (They live 24 miles from
Key West). She got to just outside of Big Coppitt Key and pulled over
because he appeared to get worse. She called OnStar and they directed
her to the Big Coppitt Fire and Rescue which was just around the corner
from where she pulled over. Almost as soon as she got there, he
collapsed and they rushed him into the ambulance to work on him. She
didn't know until later, but they lost him twice and shocked him back
with the paddles. Debbie (my sister) said that she feels like God
didn't give her all those circumstances that saved his life thus far to
just take him away, so she is very at peace that he will recover.
I
ask that you pray not only for Mike, my sister and family, but that you
pray for all of the doctors, sugeons, and nurses who are caring for him.
Thank
you all and God bless,
Glynnis

My
dear Uncle Frank Uhlhorn went to be with our Lord in the early morning
hours of March 17th. His daughters were at his side at the home in
Baltimore where he grew up. Frank Uhlhorn was 91 years old, lived a
full and wonderful life. He will be missed by all his family.
Thank you to all who prayed for him over the past months during our
Cursillo team formation and over the past men's #81 Cursillo

Please pray for Hunter Lopez, the subject of the following update from
his father:
Every
one has been amazing. the prayers are working. I can feel
it. Never
have I joined a group like this one. I am eternally grateful to
you
all.
Hunter
has a long way to go. I pray that God continues to show his
goodness .
Hunter will have surgery on Wednesday. With God's help, he will
be
able to live a normal life. The ligaments that attach the spine
to the
head have been torn. They will take a piece of one of his ribs
and use
that to seed bone growth between the top of his spine and the base of
his skull. The upside will be he can have a normal life but will
have
limited head mobility. It is dangerous surgery because of his
tenuous
condition. His head is basically detached at the spine. The
slightest
wrong move will result in paralysis.
He
has lost the function of one of his kidneys. Thank you God for
giving
him 2. There is some concern about his pancreas. This is
serious. We
are hoping and praying that it will heal. His liver is
bruised. One
of his lungs slightly collapsed but seems to be doing okay.
Hunter
Scott Meredith will be 10 in May. He was born premature by 4
weeks.
He likes to give us scares. He was petite but he turned out
okay. As
a small child, he had some growths on hs head in the scalp area.
They
removed them surgically to see if they were cancerous. Again, God
was
just making sure we were paying attention to this guy. They were
benign.
I
have endless love for my oldest grandchild. He inspires me to be
better. He is kind to all and is a constant prankster.
Everyone loves
him.
God
allow me to enjoy this child and in your infinite mercy, please bestow
his pain upon me so that this child can live to serve you further.

Many thanks for all of your prayers for Jo Woodward and her
family. Jo has been discharged from the hospital, and she is at
home. As far as we know, they were able to remove the entire
tumor - she'll know for sure when she has a follow-up visit with
the surgeon. She will not be able to drive for about 6 months,
but she should be able to return to work in about
6 - 8 weeks. Jo is one of the most positive people I've met
-
she is looking forward to a complete recovery

A message from Rob Aboud
Hi to all our good
friends,
As you all know, Ken’s at rest as of yesterday morning. Colleen
and I spent some time with him Wednesday night and we had some laughs
as well as some serious discussion. We knew he was ready to begin
his Eternal life.
We made the arrangements
today at a local funeral home. Ken will be cremated this weekend
and his memorial
mass will be on Wednesday October 24th at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
87
Lacy St, NW, Marietta, GA 30060. Visitation will be from 9:30am
with
Mass at 10:15AM that same morning. He will also be interred into
a
beautiful resurrection garden at St. Josephs Church after the Mass.
In Lieu of Flowers, Fran and the family have requested that donations
be made to the hospital foundation that supported Ken through his
battle with cancer. The address to mail donations to is:
Wellstar Foundation for STAT Clinic

Atlanta, GA 30339
My Mom and our boys will
be coming in to be with all of us. My Dad is too weak to make the
trip, so please pray for both of them in this difficult time of
mourning of their son. Little Lou will have good friends taking
care of him while Louise is here for a few days.
Please share this message
with whomever you think might want to say a prayer or two for us
all. My email contact list seems to be a little short of so many
of our friends. Thanks
so much for your blessings and prayers. We will celebrate Ken’s
life
and the fact that his suffering has ended and he is resting in Eternal
Peace.
His time on earth was certainly full of so many reasons for happiness,
laughs,
great memories with our families, and plenty of good rounds of
golf!
His greatest joy most recently has been that he enjoyed his time with
his
grandson Tyler for 10 weeks. Amy has plenty of pictures to show
Tyler
so he will always know his Grandfather was there with him from day he
was
born.
With Love and Thanks,
Rob and Colleen

Hello Everyone,
We need your prayers! Last night Fran & Amy called to let us
know they finally have some idea of what's going on with Rob's brother
Ken. He was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer.
Initial assessment is stage 3 or 4, but they are going to scope him
today to stage the cancer and do more testing regarding areas it may
have spread to. The doctors told Fran it has definitely
metastasized. He has had such severe bone, leg and back pain that
we are really worried about bone cancer. The next few days will
give us a better picture of what the future looks like for Ken.
Rob and I will be flying to Atlanta the first of the week as
he has the MS150 Ride this weekend. Ken and Fran's daughter Amy
is
6 months pregnant and we ask you to keep her in your prayers as
well. Please pray for Rob's parents, Lou & Louise. They
are 88 years old and the heartbreak and stress from this illness will
be difficult for them to shoulder. We'll keep you informed as
soon as we know more but at this time the picture is not looking good.
I know this note sounds pretty bleak but Rob and I know that God
is good. We are strong in our faith and know that God will
sustain us. We know that His plans are not to harm us and even
though we may not understand His plans we do know that He will be with
Ken and our family.
God Bless,
Colleen Aboud

JJ's Surgery is OVER and it went VERY Well!
JJ is home and doing great! Thank you all for you many calls, prayers
and concerns.
JJ's heart surgery went well. It turns out he was born with an extra
set of wiring that's what was causing his heart to short circuit.
It is amazing what science can do! The procedure was a little over 4
hours long and a great success. He spent one night in the hospital
after surgery being monitored and is now back at home recovering for a
week, then he can return to regular activities and back to UCF!
If you have called to check on us, thank you....If I have not called
you back... I Apologize. This was a rough week. Things are beginning to
settle down!
Thanks again for all your prayers and calls! He surely is loved! God
was definitely there with us!
God Bless,
The Ward Family

Dear Friends,
We request your urgent prayers. Isabelle has not been feeling
well for quite some time and today, she went to the emergency room and
they discovered masses in her neck and chest cavity. Based on a
variety of symptoms, the doctor suspects a type of lymphoma but nothing
can be certain until a biopsy is done. We have an appointment in
the morning and ask that you
pray for healing and the best outcome possible. We also request
that
you pray for peace and trust in the Lord's holy will in our
lives. We
will update you once we know more. We so much appreciate your
prayers and pray for you and your loved ones.
Blessings,
Jim and Isabelle (and Kolbe)

Update on JJ Ward
JJ saw a cardiac specialist, an electro physiologist. He will be having
his Heart Cathetar on Wed. January 10th. The success rate is 90-100%
that they can make him all better and totally fix the short curcuit in
his heart. The risks of the procedure are MANY! We won't go into that!
Just pray! They do stop his heart when they break the curcuit and reset
his arithmia. The procdure takes 3-4 hours if there are no
complications. Please keep him in your prayers! Now till the
procedure - he is a walking time bomb and also during the 10th and
through his recovery.
Thank you all for your many calls, prayers and concerns. I will try to
keep you updated through e-mail. It is so nice to know you care.
I
am passing all the messages and e-mail son to JJ!
God Bless!

We need your prayers for JJ
JJ has just been diagnosed with a serious heart condition. He has
Narrow complex Tachycardia. As we understand this is a problem
that is congenital. It has to do with the electrical circuit part of
his heart. Basically he has
a short circuit. He will going into FL Hospital for a heart catheter!
Please
keep him in your prayers. The procedure is very risky and the condition
is
serious.
Thanks, God Bless!

Please lift up my sister Diana in prayer. She is having open heart
surgery, a double bypass, tomorrow (December 6th)morning at 6AM.
This has become to be known by many as a common procedure, however, my
sister is a special case due to the fact that she is a survivor of
juvenile
diabetes of 38 years. Diabetes is known to be very hard on the body
organs.
Thirty-eight years is along time to endure the disease and may slow
down
the recovery period.
Please pray for her and the surgeons’ to have a successful procedure
with no complications.
God Bless!

Hello everyone,
I have an emergency prayer request for my good friends, John &
Brenda Shultz. They just had a new baby on Sunday and had to take him
back to the hospital yesterday with a high fever. Today baby Drew is in
ICU, on a ventilator and has a feeding tube and IV’s. He has some
kind of infection but they aren’t sure if it is viral or bacterial.
Please pray for baby Drew for a full recovery. Thanks so much!

I just wanted to ask you all to keep Marie Harrington in your
prayers. I just talked to John and it seems that the pneumonia
that she has been battling for quite some time now is still with
her. It has lingered on in her lungs and doesn't want to
leave. We all know what the power of prayer can do so lets get to
it! Please add Marie to your prayer list. Lets pray hard
for a complete recovery and get her back to normal for the
holidays! Wouldn't it be wonderful for her to be able to attend
the Christmas party feeling like she is ready to celebrate!
Blessings to all!

Update on Cheryl McGowan's great grand-daughter:
Thank you God. Madison’s last blood culture showed
negative for CMV. After speaking to our parish nurse, Joann, this
morning, I feel I have a better understanding of what this means.
The damage to her hearing (left ear) will remain the same. It still is
not conclusive to the amount of hearing loss or the prognosis.
However, the wonderful news is that nothing more should occur. The
treatment has taken care of the active virus!
Madison still has a swollen liver but that should heal on its own. And
she will be on oral medication for 6mos under this current treatment.
Before being released from the hospital (we are still looking at the
16th), doctors will test hearing and sight once again. And she will be
closely watched
by a specialist in Orlando (for several years to come) instead of
a
regular pediatrician.
I am so unbelievably relieved and grateful to everyone. Thank you all
for your love, support, comfort and prayers.
We are not totally out of the woods but I feel we are in the
meadow! Please continue to remember Madison and her parents
in your prayers.
Much love and Appreciation,
Cheryl

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY!
As you might know, CMV was diagnosed this morning. This disease in so
horrible. And can progress for several years. Deafness, blindness
and mental retardation.
The best thing for her is aggressive prevention. Madison is on her way
via ambulance to Shands in Gainesville for treatment . Wendy is
here
from Michigan (Wen is a great source of strength for her sister) She
&
Amy are driving Morgan and Willis to Gainesville as we speak. Morgan
&
Madison will be in Gainesville for 6 wks. Morgan will be at the
Ronald
McDonald House. ( Willis can stay for a week then has to come home and
go
to work.)
This treatment is considered experimental. However, the doctor
here feels this is the best action to take to hopefully minimize
damage. Madison will be getting her brain scan up there.
Everything has happened so quickly. We are all praying for the Holy
Spirit to take care of this little baby. And Morgan.
It is so heart breaking watching this young mother in so much
pain. I keep telling her how much I admire and respect her. What
a good mom she is. I told Morgan this afternoon~~one day she will
look back at this time and be amazed how God brought her and her
precious little one through it all..
Please God.

Jessica Moss passed away yesterday morning (5-29-06) at about
5:00am in Florida Hospital in Orlando. Jessica and Jack Moss were
active in Marriage Encounter, Cursillo, and other ministries at Holy
Spirit in Mims until they moved to Orlando in 1997 to be near their
daughter, Judy.
The whole process has happened very suddenly. Jessica and Jack
found out that Jessica had colon cancer on their 49th anniversary, May
4th, this month.
She had surgery on May 17th to remove the cancer in that area.
Unfortunately, it had already spread to her liver and other
areas. She was told that she would have 6-12 months to live with
treatment. She had expected to go home last Tuesday, when it
appeared that she had developed an infection. The doctors began
antibiotics. They later realized that the cancer had
actually spread throughout her body.
Jessica encouraged every woman to have a colonoscopy. I don't
think that she ever had. She was only 70 years old.
Her funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul in Orlando (near
San Pedro) on Thursday at 11:00am and the internment (burial) will be
held at 1:00 here in Titusville at Oaklawn.
Jack's address is: Jack Moss

Dear Friends,
Please remember the Timmes family in your prayers. Nathan Timmes,
son of John and Mary, was killed in an automobile accident last
night. Nathan is the brother of Stephen (5B) and Kateri (BMCHS
Senior). Nathan was a graduate of St. Margaret Mary Catholic
School in 2000 and Bishop Moore Catholic High School in 2004. He was a
student at Embry Riddle University, an Eagle Scout, and was very
interested in aviation.
We mourn with the entire Timmes family: John and Mary, Kateri and
Stephen, Miriam, Bill and Concettta, and Regina and Jack. We pray
that
God will hold them in His loving arms at this time of tragedy and
sorrow.
We know that Nathan is with our Lord Jesus Christ, and he is in the
presence of the angels and saints, and his grandfather, Deacon Jack
Timmes.
It is at times like this when we are most aware of the importance of
community. May God comfort and sustain us as we mourn the loss of
Nathan, who was so loved.
In Christ’s love,
Mrs. Katie Walsh

Please pray for Carol Rice and her family. Her mother, Gladys
Paquin, died on March 10th in Connecticut. Some thoughts from
Carol: "The week that we spent with her was filled with many
graces and blessings. She was able to speak to her grandchildren
and her great grandchildren, and she and I shared a number of very
close moments - nothing was left unsaid.
So, even though this did not turn out the way we had started to hope
for, I could see God acting in some very powerful ways, and it was a
wonderful affirmation that all things happen in His time.
Thanks for all of your prayers and support."

My sister Diana in North Carolina is having a angioplasty heart
catheter procedure done tomorrow. She is only 47 and has develop a
heart
problem. Of course, we don't know to what extent yet. She's been a
diabetic
since she was 9 years old, and I'm paying there won't be any
complications
as the heart cath is now considered to be a "routine" exam...and then
there's
the prognosis.

THANK YOU, I really appreciate it.... His name is Matthew......
its going to be a difficult time. He is 3 years old and has been
thru
so much already in that short span.... various things but the biggest
is
that he was born with a club foot that has been managed with various
techniques (casting, bracing, physical therapy, had a more minor
surgery at 3 months)
but now he needs this major surgery (they are completely removing and
reattaching tendons and all other fun stuff..). then last summer
we found a tumor in his arm that is not a big deal now but could bring
pain and movement issues later in life, and could even possibly turn
malignant. So while he is under the orthopedist will remove
that too.....

Ellen Ginevra is home from the hospital and resting
comfortably.
Her pathology report came back; all margins clear and lymph nodes show
NO cancer. . . Praise the Lord!! As you can imagine she is
resting
much easier and even had an appetite this afternoon. She will be
following up with her surgeon this week and then the oncologist in 3
weeks to get a better idea of what type of treatment and how
much. The cancer was 2
centimeters, within the 4 centimeters. It looks like they got it
all.
. . hmm I wonder how that happened??
Ellen is forever grateful to all and sends her love. .She will be back
to normal in no time.

Hi everyone,
I just spoke with Tony and Ellen (Ginevra) is now in recovery.
She went in at 1:00 pm and finished up around 5:00. Everything
went as well
as expected. The surgeon wouldn’t speculate and said they would know
more
by Monday when the Pathology report comes back. The
reconstructive surgeon
was pleased with his part and she is now resting in recovery. Thank you
all
for all your prayers and support, e-mails, letters, etc
Let’s continue to pray that the worst is over and she will have a
speedy recovery!

Update on Ellen Ginevra:
Hi everyone,
Well Ellen is having her surgery Wednesday this week. She will be
at Holmes Regional. She expects to be in the hospital for 2-3
days
and then recovering at home for 4-6 weeks. At least this is what
the
reconstructive surgeon is telling her. Her general surgeon could
have
other plans! She has her appointment with the oncologist exactly
3
weeks from surgery to determine treatment.
Tim and I spent Friday night and Saturday with them. They are
holding up considering, and they both are so thankful for ALL of you
and your calls, cards, prayers and support. They truly believe
and know the Lord will guide them through this and give them the
strength they need. It’s been
a tough few weeks, and it’s about to get tougher. Please continue
to
pray for Ellen, especially Wednesday ALL DAY!
Thanks again to all – you’ve really made a difference.

Please pray for Bill Andrasco who will be undergoing open heart
surgery soon. Here's an exerpt from an email message from his
wife,
Alice.
When Bill first had his heart cath. the doctor told him that he needed
open heart surgery but thought it would not be necessary for another
year
to year and a half. However, after he had the nuclear stress test
the
doctor said it needs to be done right away. Bill has an
appointment
with the surgery at 8 AM tomorrow to set a date. Hopefully
sometime
this week or next. I think once you know you have to have it,
then
the quicker the better. There is a lot of strain on the heart
(and
mind) the longer you wait and worry.

On Jan 4, 2006, at 1:48 PM, Gayla wrote:
I just spoke with Ellen and mostly Sandy who was with Ellen during the
visit with the surgeon. He is encouraging her to have a double
mastectomy with what they know so far. She is meeting with the
plastic surgeon tomorrow, and will be scheduling surgery after
that. It will be within the next 2 weeks (hopefully).
Sandy said the surgeon was very to the point and told Ellen since there
was also somthing showing up in her left breast, that he would do
both. Again, they won’t know anything until they get in and take
it out, and then wait 2-3 days for the reports to come back.
Ellen said Sandi was great and really drilled him and took a lot of
notes, which she is going to type up and send out (I will forward as
well).
Right now we just need to pray that it hasn’t spread to the Lymph Nodes
and that it is contained. They did learn that just because the
mass
is 4.5 centimeters, that doesn’t necessarily mean the cancer is that
big,
it could be much smaller, again they won’t know until they go in and
get
it.
Wish I could give more info, but it was a short conversation.
She will have to do chemo for 3-6 months, depending on how the reports
come back, and they will determine if radiation is also necessary.
Ellen appears to be holding up well, Sandi said the toughest part was
hearing him confirm to do the double mastectomy.
Ellen thanks everyone again for all your prayers and support. She
asked me to forward any e-mails to her which I will do.
I will also continue to update when I hear more.
“All things are possible through Christ” . . . Ellen will get through
this!

My dearest friends and family,
I went and had the biopsy done yesterday and although the pathology
reports won't be back until Monday, the doctor is reasonably sure that
what he found is cancer. I'm scheduled with a surgeon for Monday for a
consultation and surgery on Tuesday. The doctor is insisting that
regardless of the pathology
report, he wants the mass removed.
Please, please continue to pray for me - that the pathology proves the
doctor wrong and the surgery will be the end of it. I know in my
heart
that "all things are possible through Christ".
Thank you for keeping me and my family in your prayers, and if you
would, pass this on to all who you know what the power of prayer can do.
In His Love,
Ellen Ginevra

My brothers and sisters in Christ,
I am asking for your prayers of healing for myself. I had a
mammogram and ultrasound this morning and the doctor found a mass that
he is "very concerned"
about. I've been scheduled for a biopsy first thing in the
morning
(Thursday, Dec. 29th) at 8 am.
I know what the power of prayer can do - so I'm asking that you please
pray for the results to come back as a benign mass. I would also
appreciate you forwarding this email to your prayer partners and anyone
that you think might pray for me. May God bless you (and me!).

Request from Ellen Ginevra:
My sister-in-law, Joyce Bogan, was admitted to Orlando Regional Medical
Center and is scheduled to have major back surgery tomorrow, Thursday,
Dec.
15th at 3 pm. Her vertebrae are collapsing - the doctor told her that
any
pressure - even standing - could put her in a wheelchair for the rest
of
her life.
Please pray for a successful surgery - for Jesus to guide the hands of
the surgeon and for recovery. For those of you who do not know
Joyce,
she wouldn't do well not being able to be constantly moving - she can't
sit
still.
With Faith,
Ellen

I just got off the phone with Carrie Rowland Nason. Jim and I
sponsored her on LVDC #10. She also worked with Jim at World
Color and is still working for the company that bought out World Color

other places. She is desperate to find the right treatment and is
asking
everyone to pray for her. She has one son 18 and two adopted kids

Dear Friends,
Please remember my friend, Maryann Harkins, in your prayers.
Maryann had extensive cancer surgery over the summer and is currently
back in the hospital due to complications from the myriad medicines she
has had to take. Maryann is truly an angel—one of the most
faith-filled people I know, but she is really carrying her cross at
this time. Please pray that God will give her the strength she
needs and that He will heal her. Thanks so much!
